Really wonderful name choices across the board!

He is flying well high with all the support you gave him during his life with you. Getting there sooner likely would not have made a difference, so I hope you can hold on to the sadness of the passing and happiness you had with him, without feeling guilt of doing something wrong — because you didn’t.

I’m very sorry you lost Iola. Rabbits are tiny beings with big personalities, and we miss them so when they leave us.

If he passed from a blod clot, as the vet thinks, it wouldn’t have made a difference if you’d brought him in sooner. When we lose someone that’s in our care, we feel guilt, but that doesn’t mean we have reason to.

I’m so sorry to read this. It won’t mean much now, but it helps that you were with him right at the end. He had your love and comforting presence when he needed you. Our bunnies are so delicate. My condolences.

Got another koi Betta today, lots of orange.  Named him Horatio.  Will get pictures asap.

Never seen one with orange, hope he doesn’t darken too much.

I just use plain hay in the bottom of the box, but that is kind of bad for smelling, but you could just use a large litterbox and clean it out more often.

I think that would be just fine! I have 2 bunnies who are 2 1/2lbs. and 3 3/4lbs. Their pen is 20 sq. feet and they have free roam time in a huge outdoor area several times a week. I would give them as much free foam time as possible though.

I know this isn’t a ‘real’ answer, but I think at least sending this photo to a rabbit-experienced exotic vet (rabbit.org/vet-listings) would be good. It really looks like a finger/toe pad, the little that rabbits have, but if it is really between two nails, it may be a growth. It’s small so hopefully not harmful and perhaps could be removed, but…[Read more]

yeah it is hard to tell it like a pink little lump and this photo is of the bottom but the lump is in between two nails but I can’t find anything that it could be

She is doing a lot better today, I finally feel comfortable leaving her for a bit to go out and run errands. She is eating all her greens, eating some hay, although not quite as much as I want her to. Her poops are a bit dark but I will take what I can get!

I second Wick about dental x-rays. The first vet I took my Vilde to when he fell ill saw nothing wrong with his teeth. The rabbit savvy vet I took him to the next day did a full xray of his teeth, and from them it was beyond any doubt clear that he indeed had a dental problem.
