Overall it sounds like things are going ok!
I think I would keep going with the pen, but remove the litter boxes for now. I’ve find they always tend to cause issues, so I just use puppy pee pads until the buns seem basically bonded and I’m cementing.

Thanks for your reply, Wick!
I initially thought “let’s do the 3 day technique that the bonder did” but I’m thinking I want to slow it down to maximise the chances of success, if slowing it down will do that.
Poor ol Phil has been through the mill with her old bond breaking down and I really want this to work for her. It’s been a long few months…[Read more]

Thank you so much for the quick reply. It was in 2019, her vet recommended having her tested for EC after she was sick for awhile and her kidneys got drastically worse within a month (she had blood work done 30 days apart). Came back positive and she was on fenbendazole for 28 days, she started getting better after the first 7 days. She was put on…[Read more]

If it’s attached to the skin, then best guesses are a scab or a papilloma.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Life expectancy question in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 11 months ago
Rabbits can live 10-12+ years. I think those old estimates are based on a time when we A) didn’t routinely spay rabbits, and B) not a lot was known about rabbit medicine. We have come a long way and, as a result, many rabbits are living longer… even those with medical problems.
Unfortunately, kidney disease is something that can definitely…[Read more]

Just put a deposit on our newest little girl. Beautiful little Pug. Her parents were just stunning! I was to excited to remember to take a picture, hopefully the breeder will send some in the next VERY long weeks I have to wait!
It will be fun to have two Puglets. Willow the mini Aussie will be getting a workout for sure!

Natural fibers would be best, in case your rabbits ingest it. You also want to make sure it’s somewhat soft, not rough.

Hi all, I’m hoping to get some opinions on my rabbits possible life expectancy from anyone who’s had a similar experience. Her vet wasn’t very optimistic 3 years ago but she’s still going.
I have a 5 year old spayed Satin rabbit, 9 pounds. She has chronic kidney disease, anemia, porphyria and extensive dental disease with abscesses in the jaw…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Stroller in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 4 years, 11 months ago
Some bunnies enjoy pet strollers, others do not. If you decide to give a pet stroller a try, I would suggest monitoring their behavior while pushing them around. Maybe start with short trips. They could potentially make a hole in the mesh… but I think you would notice them chewing so I doubt it would get to the point where they would be able to…[Read more]

Rabbits can develop irritation, swelling, and even sterile abscesses after an injection. Do you have a picture?

Yes, I’ve noticed that too and that’s why I’d like to push oat hay too… he doesn’t care for it at all so I gave up on it. Good to hear that it isn’t a “better” hay anyway
