Things like this can happen when you move to a new space. Best thing is just to supervise them and let them sort things out safely! It’s good that it didn’t lead to fighting. The mounting should calm down with some more time! When I moved my Bun Jovi was mounting his bonded mate really relentlessly, but it calmed down after about a week.
It may…[Read more]

And then there is @Sonn, whose bun is terrified of strawberries! lol
Other other weird tip, one of my bridge bunnies, Bunston, hated when his salad was served wet! So I would have to wash everything and let it dry before giving it to him. With herbs you can also “slap” them to release the aromatics and encourage the bun to have a nibble.

Is the smell an onion-y smell? That usually means territorial poops. You also might check out her scent glands, when they get clogged it can really make a bun smelly.
If it’s more of a “barnyard” smell that can indicate some other issues, especially if the poops have other issues (like ill-formed, soft, etc).
Do her poops look healthy in terms…[Read more]

Hi there! I’ve been absent from this forum for a month, during which time my bunnies have been doing well! To refresh memories, were having some difficulty with chasing snd bullying from my new girl, Pixie. Since most of the issues stemmed from night time caging, I moved to free-roam and the issues largely subsided!
a few days ago I moved back t…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic HELP! Battling Urine sludge! in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years ago
Some rabbits are prone to urine sludge and its not fully understood why. It might be a genetic predisposition rather than a sub-par diet. All rabbits should expel surplus calcium via the urine, whereas most mammals (incl humans and dogs) get rid of surplus calcium via the feces.
Cloudy urine is thus not considered a problem. Its actually worse if…[Read more]

I remember one BB member that said his bun reacted to arugula as if he had offered her a pork chop 🤣 He had to try several times before his bun would venture a bite. Once she did, she was like H*ll yeah!
Try small pieces of veg, several times. Don’t buy too much vegetables. It’s vest if you get veg that you and your family enjoy -or else th…[Read more]

Hi all,
I created an account just to see if I could get people’s perspectives on our bonding situation.
We very recently adopted a desexed male bunny, Merlin (almost 4 years old) from a shelter, as a husbun for our (also desexed) female bunny, Willow (also a rescue, we’ve had her for about a year and a half. We estimate she’s around 2 years…[Read more]

Hi all! Just wanted to update on the situation with Peanut 🙂
She’s doing great at home – we’re currently trying to figure out the best combination / timing of pain medications for her. She’s currently on Meloxicam in the AM and gabapentin in the PM, and she gets so excited for medication time because she gets it in a bit of banana baby food! Her…[Read more]

Thank you,
I did make them appointment a month ago to check their ages and such but I am thinking that they are old enough to get spayed already so I might have to book another appointment for getting them spayed.
Also, do you think she will get sad or feel alone? I know she can see her I just feel bad lol, I’m use to seeing them together…[Read more]

I was going to suggest a tooth root problem or stubborn URI as well! The jaw video looks like tooth grinding due to pain to me.

Snow Pigeon! I like it! Who cares if it makes sense.
No fires here… just smoke from fires elsewhere. Very annoying.
