Not to give you yet another option, but I used to use these indoor/outdoor carpets in my bun’s cages and they seemed really good in terms of preventing chewing, so long as they can’t access the edge. Maybe not this exact one, but really…[Read more]

First I just want to say I think it’s very admirable that you recognize that things are not going well and you’re trying to change that! I know a lot of members have issues with parents, because the standard or rabbit care has changed a lot. I know when I was younger, my parent’s also wouldn’t let me keep my bunnies in the house, so they lived in…[Read more]

I consistently have two bags of this in my closet at all times, haha. A good litter!

If you aim to buy mini bales from a farm to last you through the winter, this is a good time. Most of us house bun owners buy hay from pet stores, where hay is available all year round -although all hay is harvested from May to September in the Northern hemisphere.
One of our members (who is located in the UK) just bought 40 kilos of hay for one…[Read more]

Thanks so much for that sage advice. It’s hard to keep your head when others are saying something else. I totally agree with you and really want this to work out. I don’t want to put Phil through another failed bond.
Good news though, yesterday/evening, Hopper spent lots of time at Phil’s side of the pen, not flopped or anything, just sitting and…[Read more]

The ikea seems great, too bad I can’t get it… my dad won’t be too happy about asking for a different one since the two we got aren’t returnable. The thing with the second one is that there is some where the pieces stick up, so I don’t know if that would tempt them. The other carpet is more like the one in my room which they only dig and chew on i…[Read more]

Hi! I got a bunny, Otter, fairly recently, in July-August. We got them from my mom’s friend whose rabbit had babies. Though I try my best, I don’t think I’m doing a fantastic job with this whole bunny owner thing. (Sorry this is going to be long)
Some basic info! We don’t know Otter’s gender or exact age, I can only guess they’re abt 3-5 months…[Read more]

Some bunnies prefer a water bottle. I would suggest providing both to see which one is preferred. Also, as Dana said, it isn’t a bad idea to have a backup.

Yes, pelleted pine bedding can be used as litter for rabbits. I use wood stove pellets, which are made from spruce and pine.
Its pine and cedar shavings you should avoid.
I mix the wood pellets with paper litter, but you can use wood pellets only.

I guess I don’t really buy too much hay at once because I feel like it goes stale. I get the bagged Oxbow kind. Are you buying bagged hay? A bale?

Yep that one’s good! I’ve used it and it works well! I’ve used several brands of pine stall pellets and they all seem pretty comparable.

Hi everyone!
My ladies’ litter has been getting very…. Smelly, lately, to the drastic point where I’ve decided we need a change.
I remember reading somewhere that there’s a type of pellet litter that’s supposed to be very absorbant and have less of an odor? I was browsing through the store, and found this bag of litter, though I wasn’t sure if…[Read more]

I saw a tutorial at some point on making your own from cardboard boxes. It looks a little time consuming, but if you have more time than money it might be worth it!
