Revolution or Advantage are typically the go-to flea products for rabbits. And yes, you should have a vet advise you on dosage. If you’re in the US, you can’t buy Revolution over the counter anyway.

And I will repeat Wick’s PSA… do not use any product containing fipronil on rabbits. It is toxic to them.

At home treatment is not recommended since you want professional guidance on the correct dosage for your rabbit. Please see a rabbit experienced exotic vet: rabbit.org/vet-listings

Note that you should NOT use Frontline or any medication…[Read more]

The Oxbow is better, less fillers, but Oxbow Garden Select is even better.

I don’t know about your local tractor supply, but ours is completely unreliable about what they have in stock at any given time.  I use Chewy for rabbit supplies.

I gave my bunny a paper tube stuffed with hay and tied it to the top of their cage, it got completely demolished in hours lol. My local pet store doesn’t have too many options for rabbits so I’ll have to look somewhere else.

Any grass hay is fine for rabbits. Rabbits in Austrslia csnt have timothy hay, because timothy cant grow in warm climates. As you probably know, wild  rabbits are considered a pest in Australia – they thrive even though they never ever come across any timothy grass.

Grass hay is important though. There are many types. I myself am allergic to…[Read more]

Okay. My rabbits are both 2.8 pounds, one is a netherland dwarf purebred, the other is a dwarf mix. I heard rabbits should have some Timothy in their diet, pellets or hay or whatever. Which my rabbits don’t. I tried finding if that is true or not but failed. Is it? Also would it help them get back to weight? They look healthy but the scale says t…[Read more]

    Disaster 😭

Tried the second session there and Hopper was very aggressive and dominant. He bit Phil on the bum and ears and tried to chase her. Naturally, she fought straight back and they were almost up on their hind legs face to face. I mean this happened within 30 seconds. We separated with a bit of cardboard three times but each time he went…[Read more]

OK sounds like a great plan and works well around my schedule too.

Aw, I didn’t realise that the groomer was in a vulnerable position!! Poor Hops 🐰 he’ll get there I’m sure. Well, he’ll have no choice with Phil as she will submit to no man, woman, child, or bun 😂

Thanks so much again! Hopefully I’ll have nothing to say for another while if the…[Read more]

You can use larger diameter PVC pipe pieces to surround the legs. Or even heavy cardboard folded around the legs and taped. The tape wouldn’t be touching the wood, just the cardboard.

Timothy-based pellets are unlikely to trigger allergies.

I doubt a timothy hay allergy would be triggered by pellets.

Those Science Select pellets are actually fine. You just need to keep in mind that they are more protein and calcium dense due to the alfalfa, so be extra attentive to how much you are feeding.

You can see here for a comparison chart and what parameters one recommends for rabbit…[Read more]

<p class=”p1″>So today I set them up in the kitchen/living room for the first time. I didn’t buy new blankets but I washed the usual ones and laid some other blankets on top that they haven’t seen in awhile. They were busy at first checking out their new surroundings. They ignored each other way more and did their own thing. I bought them new toy…[Read more]
