👆 I took a screenshot of the nutrient values in the Non-GMO, soy-free pellets.

In my opinion, the fibrr content is too low (should be at least 20%) and the protein is a little high (should be around 13%) for adult rabbits.

Since at least 80% of a bun’s diet should be hay, and adult rabbits only should get a very limited amount of pellets, the…[Read more]

I looked over all the ingredients and the article. I am leaning away from the oxbow one, and also sure about changing their pellets. I think this one is ok? What are your thoughts?

Hmm… it’s hard to tell from the picture. Is he outside at all? It almost looks like an insect sting.

False dwarf Nethies are often labeled as “pet quality”. About 25% of all Nethies are going to be false dwarfs. I agree with Cinnimon&Ollie, he doesn’t have the dwarf features.

Does it have to be apple wood?

    Thank you,

I will try the binkybunny website.

How much hay do you buy your rabbit for the winter? Or how much hay should I buy at a time so I don’t run out?

I want to buy enough to last my 2 bunnies a while but not have the hay become bad. My bunnies are 5-6 months old now and they both eat seperatly since they are waiting to be spayed.

You could cut sugar maple or silver maple or any kind or apple wood and soak it in fruit juice. It might be hard to squeeze the juice out, but it’s something to try if you have the time.

The brand does matter I have found. Oxbow is good, small pet select is great, and I heard the hay on binkybunny is good too, Standlee is also great. I would steer away from kaytee and all living things market medley.

Definitely not a true Netherland dwarf possibly a false Netherland, or mixed maybe. True Netherlands have small ears, round heads, and compact bodies.

I have seen some flavored wooden toys flavored like apples, bananas, or berries. Can you make those at home? I have lots of wooden toys for them that they show no interest in, and I think they would if they were flavored.

Also if the washcloth doesn’t work you could try cutting some of the fur off, I did this with one of my bunnies because I knew water wouldn’t be a good option for her… she freaks out if she is even a little bit wet. You can’t cut too much off though.

Mounting seems to have calmed down or subsided (I hope)! we went to the vet last week and everyone is happy and healthy! They even did a fecal test for parasites even though my vet could tell they were parasite free given “they are quite robust!” The wording is just too perfect for me.

So far, I haven’t found a bad brand of hay…I use Oxbow, Kaytee, Standlee and the stuff sold here.

Just be sure it’s clean and dry and smells good.

I love the smell of hay and am still waiting for an alfalfa air freshener!😁

Okay that is actually such a great idea! Unfortunately I will be at a hair appointment so it’s just my boyfriend taking them, I wouldn’t be there to watch over them while he drives. 😡  Yesterday I did buy a 2nd carrier for Winter which might be some progress though, before I was just using the cardboard carrier from her adoption. It could be from him sitting in a puddle, about a month and a half ago I had finished bonding him with his friend and so they both will sometimes pee outside of the litter box which I’m hoping will resolve for them with time since they were both trained pretty well before bonding. The vets think it was caused by ear infections because Thor has p…[Read more]
