I’m so glad you found her! I couldn’t make out what kind of animal she was and I felt embarrassed to ask 🤣

Ahhh, what ever squirrel is common in Idaho.
Seen mom a few times. Put a squirrel block in a hay net so I could kinda get it up the tree.
Today I put out some water and put up an x pen around it so my dogs would stay out. And, in case she is out in the yard and needs to get into the tree in a hurry, a board bungeed to the pen leading right u…[Read more]

I wonder if you could trim her and then do a sanitary shave, and then see how she looks? She may not be as bad as you think once she gets trimmed. If there are other areas that are very soiled, maybe you could work on her coat in sections, perhaps with a spray bottle of warm water and wash cloth, drying and combing each section as you go (rather…[Read more]

I like using this site to get a general sense of how pellet brands ‘stack up’ against each other: http://www.therabbithouse.com/diet/rabbit-food-comparison.asp?diet=adult
It looks like SPS is great in terms of fiber and is lower on the Fat content, as well as a few other measures slightly. That is not necessarily “bad”, as even Oxbow isn’t all…[Read more]

I found small pet select rabbit pellets. What do you think of these, have you, or would you ever use these. I looked up the ingredients and I think they are okay. There are a few reviews where they found a piece of corn in the bag. Which makes me worried.

Sadly no,, I do not know since the nurses did not give me a specific name for it just only what the antibiotic is about and maybe you are be right about the flu medication being antihistamine because since last night he hasn’t been sneezing really badly like before but he still sneezes from time to time,, as I commented before, on the next trip to…[Read more]

huu I am so sorry for not being able to give you more insights of the medication and it is my fault for not knowing more of it since it is my first time getting medications like this for him and I will follow your advice to stop/lessen if there is anything suspicious while observing moon,, hopefully the next trip I can try ask the nurses what type…[Read more]

Bathing a rabbit with a wool coat would definitely be tricky. Rabbit fur, in general, does not dry quickly. Wool would taken even longer. You could need to develop a system to make sure she is completely dry.
For a winter coat, you could leave it a little longer and just have a sanitary shave done on her rear.

I wonder if the “flu medicine” is an antihistamine.
I agree with Wick, without knowing what it is, we can’t really comment on it. Typical URI treatment consists of an antibiotic. Do you know what the antibiotic is?

Not personally experienced, but trimming angora fur is indeed recommended and routine for many angora rabbit owners. There are many videos here that can guide you on safe ways to do so: https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Angora_and_other_long-haired_rabbits

If you can’t find the name of the flu medicine, then we won’t be able to comment on it. That being said, an antibiotic alone should be enough for a URI treatment, so if you have any suspicions or notice anything, I would err on the side of not giving the second medication. I hope he does well on the antibiotic!!
