I’m only aware of Nationwide.

Unfortunately there isn’t anything outside Nationwide right now, to my knowledge, in the US. I agree that the coverage is not great either. They would not cover any molar grindings Wick had since they were a result of his teeth crookedness, so it wasn’t helpful for me.

LBJ10 replied to the topic HELP BUNNY ATE FOAM in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 11 months ago
If it has been several hours and he is still eating a pooping, then he will probably be fine. Bunnies tend to chew stuff thoroughly when they eat something, so any foam he ingested was likely ground up into a pulp. I would encourage water and hay to help push it through his system. And just keep an eye out to make sure he’s still eating and…[Read more]

Rabbits can definitely have a variety of nail colors, even if it doesn’t seem too matching to the fur! My majority-black Wick has a paw that has some white and some black nails.

StellaBellaBunBun replied to the topic How to get my bunny to become a snuggler? in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 11 months ago
Charlie sounds a lot like my StellaBellaBun! Stella is super outgoing and bold like Charlie, food motivated as well, but not super cuddly. I got her from DAS at 14 weeks so I can relate to the adolescent bunny tantrums.LOL
Ever since I brought her home, Stella has never been that scared of me, but she definitely never craved my attention either.…[Read more]

Not sure if this is helpful but I use a tiny bit of olive oil on Stella when she gets little patches of dry skin, fur mites, or ear mites. The first time I put a tiny drop in her ear and I would not do that again because she freaked out about feeling something in her ear and scared me half to death. That said, she was fine, she got over it after…[Read more]

Hello, new member here. I just wondered if anyone in the US has insurance for their bunny. I have been looking online, I could only find Nationwide that will cover Rabbits. I called them and the coverage isn’t that attractive. I live in Florida and I think they vary by state. Does anyone know of another company that writes plans in the US? Do you…[Read more]

My bunny cinnimon favorite is purses and Ollies is their brush. They also love those tape and stickers too.

Good to have assurance. By the way the new girl is an orange Dutch and has white nails on front paws but black toe nails. My previous bun was a dark chocolate dwarf and even her nails were not as dark. Is it normal?

I have thought about going pellets free but how would I be sure they are getting everything they need? Also, do you know if it would affect the lifespan? I will watch the vid when I get time, Thanks.

Just chiming in to say I agree — “Keep a lookout” stage at the moment. I would also be mindful if you find similar marks any where else. It may just be a previous “hay poke” or environmental boo-boo that is recovering… hay is unforgiving sometimes, haha.

We’ve even nursed a few Praying Mantis back to life. Let them live on a table of house plants and give them a cricket and a drop of water.
I draw the line at most bugs and coyotes.

Glad it was helpful!
They are both very cute regardless! I had a foster with a beautiful coat like Supernova, he was also all black with a surprisingly white under coat!
I’ve also been seeing a ton of bunnies recently with the same coat pattern as Ginki, I think it comes from mixing the harlequin pattern?

Thank you, everyone for all the replies! The explanation on the false dwarves was very helpful, DanaNM, this clears things up for me.
Hazel, unfortunately I didn’t see the parents, as the rabbitry was closed to visitors due to the pandemic when we got the bunnies. I have since lost my trust in the breeder, because Nova had bunny syphilis (at 3…[Read more]

I think they are false dwarfs. Their ears look like it, and their weight is more like a false dwarf than a true dwarf. This means they are pet quilty, meaning they can’t be in shows but are still great pets. I have true Netherland and ethier a false dwarf of Netherland mix. They might still be able to do rabbit agility if you want to do that. I…[Read more]

Could be false dwarves, or it could just be that the breeder is producing mixes and advertising them as Nethies. Did you get to see the parents?
