64 should not be too cold. If she is refusing all food including treats you need to try to change your plans and get her to a vet. A rabbit not eating can quickly become a life threatening emergency. I’m very sorry you lost him.

My Bam choked on a pellet once, luckily he made it with “just” aspiration pneumonia as a consequence. It happens so fast. Buns are greedy eaters.

He was a beautiful boy and you gave him a life full of love. I think he is with Moxie in bunny Heaven now.

Yeah, I don’t think paper towels will hurt anything. I assume you put hay in the litter box? You can put a layer on top of the paper towels.

Paper towels would be fine as a temporary measure — any paper is easily going to break down in their stomach, so it should not be an issue short-term at all.

Also I wanted to add I can’t watch them to see if they eat it because it is night where I am at so even if I try to stay awake chances are I will fall asleep.

Are paper towels okay?? I don’t have newspaper and the only paper I have is colored paper so I don’t think it is a good option because of the inks

You can actually just use some paper or lay down newspaper in the meantime until you can get some more!

I’m still suggesting phone books… but I know that are pretty much non-existent now.

I’m going to guess that the vet ruled it a possible yeast/fungal infection. Trimethoprim Sulfa does have anti-fungal properties. However, I’m not sure why they wouldn’t prescribe a skin cream.
