I’m so sorry to hear this. Binky free Blossom! You did everything you could for her.

Why is separation not possible? How big is the enclosure? Would it be possible to split it in two? It isn’t ideal, but at least they would be separated until you can get them spayed.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Head Tilt/Facial Paralysis after TECA-BO (no ear infection) in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 1 year, 9 months ago
Bam hit on this a little bit, but another possibility could be permanent damage caused by scar tissue. I had a bunny with permanent facial paralysis from chronic URI’s that eventually migrated to the ear and damaged the nerve. He was treated, of course, but the facial paralysis never resolved.

I agree. If it’s getting worse, it would be advised to pursue the matter further. Just because there is no discharge, does not mean there isn’t an infection. She’s also a dwarf breed, so her facial structures are smooshed. Depending on how the sinuses are shaped, it can cause “pockets” where stuff pools making them more prone to infections.

Hi Jade, and very welcome to the Binky Bunny forums!
I’m sorry you lost your boy bun Argo He was beautiful.
Mari looks adorable too, her ears remind me of my bridge lionhead mix boy.

I agree the weight loss is concerning. I would try to get him seen. In the meantime, can you offer him some supplemental feeding like critical care or pellet mash? That may help with small poops and his weight loss. Some tummy rubs may also help if he’s having a bit of gut slowing.
I think with poorly buns, especially those that are grieving,…[Read more]

Just a quickish update, my mom and dad brought Blossom’s body to the vet so she could get cremated (my choice to do that) and my mom talked to the vet and she(the vet) said that she is 100% certain that Blossom had cancer and that there was nothing that we could’ve done for her. Thank you all for your kind words, it means a lot to me.
