Posting on here as I really need some advice…
We’ve recently homed a year and a bit mini lop. Fully neutered. He was my friend’s and they asked if we could take him as he was fighting with his brother.
He’s been here for almost a month now, and up until now has been an absolute gem. He’s had full reign of the house during the day and at night…[Read more]

My bunny had a bump by his tail. The vet said it’s nothing to worry about. He drained it and it has not come back since. He said it was a cyst

Agree with Wick & Fable, buns do seem to love peeing on beds. I know some members have had success with putting a plastic shower curtain over the bedding with a thin blanket on top. This blocks the smells from the bed so it can reduce marking and also makes accident clean up easier.

Inherently, beds are a very attractive and tempting place for even the most litterbox adherent rabbits to mark because it is comfy and so scent-filled. There is honestly little you can do to stop it aside from limiting bed time and/or putting a literal litterbox on your bed to attempt redirecting the behavior.

I think w/ this being concerning the throat/neck muscles and potentially respiratory issues, unless you spend the resources to do some imaging, we will unlikely be able to pinpoint an answer. I recommend another vet visit considering the increased frequency and discuss what diagnostic testing may be informative. There could be something…[Read more]

What all is there that you can do to prevent a bunny from peeing and pooping on your bed? I have urine remover and deodorizer/neutralizing spray (I think that’s what you call it ;-;) and he is litter trained, for the longest time now, about 2-3 years. But still, he pees and poops on my bed sometimes.

The initial enclosure was meant to be larger but I had to…[Read more]

I should add that she’s doing really well otherwise. Great appetite, no weight loss, lots of energy. You’d never guess she’s as old as she is. I’m not sure if this is something I should be super concerned about.

I honestly have no idea. When she does it it’s only once or twice and then she’s good. I’ve brought it up with two different vets and neither seemed concerned but now it’s happening more frequently and I don’t have any idea what it could be, especially since she’s doing it while not even drinking now.

Hmm… could she be aspirating when she drinks?
