Hello, I saw a similar topic on here but for some reason my account won’t let me dm the user – Cassie119300 or comment on the post.

I am moving from the USA to the UK with my two rabbits and have found it very difficult to find any information on how to go about this process. So far I have contacted a quarantine facility that seems reliable-…[Read more]

I agree with LBJ10, it sounds like mites are very likely but I think you are OK to wait for your appointment. Revolution is the typical treatment, it works very well and quickly. If it would give you peace of mind, some vets reserve some same day appointments if you call first thing when they open in the morning. Or sometimes they will let you…[Read more]

Hello first time poster here and had a question about my girl Brownie. She is a 4.5 year old Rex bunny who weighs about 8 pounds and has a sassy attitude…. I tell you this because if this potential problem bothered her at all I wouldn’t hear the end of it.

Anyway I was trimming her nails and on her back foot the top of one of her nails was…[Read more]

Cool! Thanks for the tip! I’ll see how things go… and if her paws end up staining a lot, then maybe I can try out that litter screen. 🙂

Considering her age and the fact that you just brought her home, it isn’t a bad idea to have a wellness check anyway. I don’t know where you got her from, if it was a breeder or not. But it’s very common for bunnies to have ear mites when coming from a place where a lot of bunnies are housed. Having her treated for mites would have been something…[Read more]

    Hi y’all!

It’s been a little over a week since I’ve gotten my bun (her name is Dahlia/Dollie; she’s a holland lop a little over 9 weeks old right now as she was born on January 22nd of this year) and it seems like she has mites??? I’m unsure if it really is mites or not because she won’t let me look into her ears and when I tried, it looked like…[Read more]

Well….I should done research before getting bunnies. My bunny peed on the floor and it was orange. I thought it was blood and researched and found out UTIs are common in bunnies because of calcium build up. Apparently Alfalfa has a lot of calcium and thats what I’ve mostly been feeding them. A vet said it might just be because I fed them carrots…[Read more]

Yay! Thank you again, Dana! 😀 I’ve been using this set up for her so far and she seems to finally be keeping her space clean, aside from (what I think are) territorial markings… (she’s been scattering poop a lot outside of the litterbox 8-O)

Also, that sounds scary! 😥 I’m so glad to hear though that your bun is doing okay. Haha, these…[Read more]

I would try removing the litter boxes! I’ve found they can cause some territorial disputes early on. I usually wait to add them until sessions get long to add litter boxes. I either do nothing on the floor or pee pads.

    Hello,

Thank you for your response. The bonding area is the kitchen and I have two litterboxes and a forging mat. I have noticed that Sierra is very anxious. She always has been (came from a shelter and the shelter said she may have been abused due to how she came to them.)

Fourth Date: About 45 minutes this time with food and two litterboxes.…[Read more]

Hi @annette321 , I moved your thread to the House Rabbit Q&A section.

I’m sorry you are going through this with your bunny. It’s possible  her teeth are still sensitive from the trim, sometimes that happens. Some members have had success with soaking hay and offering that to their buns, or fresh grass if you can get it in your area.

    Hello,

This is a long story but I really don’t know what to do. So I have a bun who’s 3.5 years old and 3 months ago I noticed she stopped eating her hay. Still very excited about pellets and greens, but not eating hay. It turns out her teeth were bothering her so we went in for a molar trim. After that, she went back to eating hay excitedly and…[Read more]
