Oh man I feel you! The spraying is nuts sometimes. As early as it seems, he is right on time, as puberty can start as early as 12 weeks.
I think a good temporary solution would be to set up an exercise pen (or two) linked up to his hutch that is lined with a waterproof flooring, and even some blankets, towels, or shower curtains hung on the pen…[Read more]

Hello,
Anyone ever feel like the sweet baby bunny stage is just too short? I feel like I just brought our little Peppy home, everything was going perfectly, and then puberty hit. He is a Netherland Dwarf and only 3.5 months old. There is only one vet in my area who works with rabbits, and they said we need to wait a couple of more months before…[Read more] -

I’m so sorry to read this.
It is extra unfair when they go so young.
I hope his brother, you and your daughter will be ok.

My bunny Bear passed away today 😢 he was 3 years old on April 8th.
His brother doesn’t know what to do and I feel so bad for him as they have been together since they were born.
my daughter and I are devastated.

Not all vets recommend treatment for pinworms in rabbits. Pinworms are not considered a health threat to the rabbit. My vet says she treats, because it doesnt feel nice for the owner if their bun has worms.
Fenbendazole is effective agsinst pinworms. Normal dosage is 20 mg per kilo body weight and day.
Fenbendazole strenght is often written as…[Read more]

Hi everyone,
I rescued 2 baby holland lops from a farm when they were 8 weeks old and recently found out that they have pinworms in their poop! they are both 5 months now and recently spayed and neutered. When i took them to the vet, I specifically told the vet that they have pinworms but they sent us home with no dewormer and no stool test!

I agree with everyone else’s responses — waiting until this weekend would likely be fine unless you notice your rabbit stops eating or there are other emergency signs beyond the scabs themselves.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. I had to make the hard decision to euthanize Mr. Bunny yesterday as he was sick for a while and nothing was working. On Friday he developed a head tilt and by Sunday he was paralyzed from E. Cuniculi. The poor thing was contorted and we left him at the vet a couple of days in the hopes he would get better but he…[Read more]
