Hi there, welcome!
The most important thing you need to do is get Halsey spayed. It is very difficult (often impossible) to bond rabbits when one is un-altered because their hormones will prevent a proper bond from forming. Holland will mount her relentlessly until she is spayed, unlike in a normal bonding session where mounting is part of…[Read more]

I would definitely let the vet know about this new development, it could indicate the infection is spreading to her eye, in which case you need to get her on a systemic antibiotic ASAP.

This has been a huge concern with me as well! I have four rabbits as well, and the vets around me that offer the vaccine are all charging around 120 per rabbit, because they want to do an exam first. $80 for the second shot does seem really high though, I think most vets are charging more for the first one that includes the exam, and then between…[Read more]

Hey everyone
This outbreak has me really worried. I have four bunnies, and my current vet told me that all of my bunnies would need to get two shots at 80$ a piece. Currently, I am a full-time student, so I am taking care of my bunnies with my leftover financial aid, and 90% of it just went to vet bills for two of my rabbits. So, I literally can…[Read more]

I have two bunnies the same age both females, had them both for a year now.
This morning just like every morning I let them out of this play pen to let them free roam the house for the day. For the past 2 hours it’s been the one bunny chasing the other, not constant chasing though. The one would start chasing the other around the room and the ot…[Read more]

It looks more like what is known as a hot spot in dogs, i e pyoderma. Pyoderma means there’s a bacterial infection of the skin. It can start as a small wound. It should be cleaned and the surrounding fur should be shaved so the affected area can be kept clean and dry. I dont think you should wait until the 31st, hot spots can grow ( in…[Read more]

I agree with Wick, this doesn’t really look like ringworm. At least not in these pictures.

Ringworm can be flaky and scabby as a result of the flakes, but a growing bump is not something I associate with ringworm. Ringworm travels and widens, while this appears to be something festering, which makes me think of some sort of puncture wound that may have now developed into an abscess. Having a vet see it ASAP is definitely a good idea and…[Read more]

Hello all. So I have 2 buns who live indoors. Their main home is a large walk in closet, plenty of room for them without a doubt. It is well ventilated and cleaned daily. Just over a week ago I noticed a spot and small bump on my buck’s from leg near the shoulder. It started out as a little black ring as shown in the photo. I called the vet but…[Read more]
