I’d just keep an eye. Check how he moves. Does he seem to avoid moving around? Will he come for a pellet if you offer one? Does he put weight on the foot with the hurt nail?
Rabbits do hurt their nails sometimes. It can bleed a little. It’s as a rule not a big problem, sometimes the nail grows out crooked though. A nail like that can sometimes…[Read more]

How sweet! I think I recognise that spot. One of my fave pics of Vilde is him looking at this same view. 🥰
@Tybalt, my past lops both eventually had some build up in their ears. I was afraid it was abscess but I was able to massage the base and get stuff out some. The vet also injected an antibiotic direct into any lumps and this helped get…[Read more]

Fantastic!
Oh, I know that scenario well, not knowing what exactly to credit for positive change. 😄
Surely it is better pee control. Because wouldn’t the fleece & pee pads be just as tempting to pee on if it were by choice?
I hope you continue to see improvements. I’m glad he’s coped well on the panacur.

Just wanted to give a quick update to say I’m back from my trip and Bun Jovi is doing well! I think there has been a slight improvement in his mobility, and he is peeing less outside of his box. I did swap the sheepette for fleece and disposable pee pads because it was too hard to wash the sheepette frequently enough (it will still be in the…[Read more]

Plumped Cuddly Bunnies replied to the topic Is it possible to bond 2 does in the forum BONDING 3 years, 3 months ago
Upon doing lots of research I can bond two un-spayed females together and I have put the two females together and there have been no issues. I am confident I can leave them alone together tonight. Its a lot easier and less stressful for the rabbits being all alone and as my two females were bonded before its been very easy to re-bond them.
I did…[Read more]

my rabbit tore his nail while he was at the kennel when we were away.
I was told it bled but they were able to put something on it and they monitored it for a bit.
my rabbit was acting normal and it stopped bleeding.
I’ve been noticing that he has been licking his paw a lot. But he seems like he is acting normal
it’s hard to pick him up bec…[Read more]

I’m absolutely exhausted today. I had a lot to do today and I only managed to get a tiny bit done on the bunny side of things. I’m hoping to get the male bunny booked in by the end of the week for a neuter then the spaying of the females to follow right after..

With Roo and Dohwa, we have found that ‘No’ and chew toys work not much either. We have placed second-hand carpets that cover up entirely the original cream carpet of our living room : ). If you are in the UK, I recommend looking for free or very cheap second hand carpets on Freecycle, Gumtree, or on a neighbourhood forum. Then, cut them up to fit…[Read more]

Roo and Doe started the topic If you have lovingly bonded bunnies, how did they react to each other before bond in the forum BEHAVIOR 3 years, 3 months ago
We are about to bond Roo and Dohwa together by the end of the month. They have been interacting with a cage between them for a month now as Dohwa gets neutering done and over with :). Really no scuffles whatsover, Do fell pretty much in love with Roo at first sight, he became a little less interested after his neuter, but still very calm and…[Read more]

Azerane, I’m sorry about Jasiri 🙁 I hope it’s nothing really bad. It’s weird you have to wait so long for the test results, hopefully that means it isnt really bad!
Great Luna-news though! It feels so weirdto have a bun that’s a hard keeper, the problem tends to be the exact opposite with buns. I was always so happy when Vilde hadn’t dropped…[Read more]

I’ve found a vet called Celia Hammond Animal Trust and do cheap vet care but this is only at two of there clinics.
Neutering is 30 pounds
Spaying is 35 pounds
Consultation fee is 19 pounds but I could probably skip on that and just get straight to it. However the often these sites have outdated info and things change and normally when phone…[Read more]

Thank you!
I think a rabbit being deaf doesn’t really seem to affect them much, pretty common in lops as you said. They adapt really well.
Angry rant time. Jasiri (cat) had a fecal test done last week. I was expecting the test results at the end of last week, didn’t hear anything. I rang first thing Saturday morning to be told that the results…[Read more]

Ellie from The Netherlands started the topic True aggression, but who is the aggressor here? in the forum BEHAVIOR 3 years, 3 months ago
Hi everyone, the situation here has gone from bad to worse. Molly suddenly became aggressive the day before yesterday. She keeps attacking Owen when he’s nearby, and is aggressive towards me too.
At least, I think it’s her who’s aggressive. Can anyone confirm who’s the agressor here? Was she being provoked or is it all Molly’s problem? I took a…[Read more]
