It’s hard to know if he was improving and he is just having a bad day… or if he isn’t improving and he was just having a good day. Perhaps just having you return home was enough to perk him up a bit and make him try a little harder?
Does he pee on himself while he scoots around or does he try to direct it away from himself?

So Mrvica got GI again yesterday. She stopped eating in the evening and started hiding and stomach pressing. Literally 2 weeks haven’t gone since her last vet appointment. I took her again this morning she gave her reglan and buscopan like always but she also told me there might be something other than furballs in her stomach so I’m taking her for…[Read more]

Hi,
my 5 year old bunny was on anti biotics for 2 weeks for a uti. Since then (about three weeks now) she has a very loud gurgling belly after eating.
she has a fantastic appetite and poops a lot. Some are long rather than round.im wondering if it’s an after effect of the AB’s and if there is anything I could do to help it??
Thanks

I don’t have a shelter nearby sadly ):
Yeah the territorial stuff I expected, but sleeping on the couch the few weeks leading up to rehoming her was… wow.

This is 100% normal for an unspayed female bunny. All babies are cuddly. Then puberty hits and everything changes – girl or boy. They become territorial and “aggressive”. Most of these behaviors are hormone-driven.
Can a bunny still behave this way even if they are spayed? Yes. However, it is much less likely. Spaying them often fixes the…[Read more]

Hello! I am 21 and an animal lover.
I have always loved rabbits. I used to show them as a teenager (though it was a school program so the rabbits lived at school)
A few years back, I got a rabbit of my own. I thought I did everything right. She had a giant enclosure in my room but was free roam most of the time. She got healthy treats and the…[Read more]

Hope the vitamins help BunJovi, poor little guy.
Glad Luna is gaining weight! & hope Jasiri gets over her gut stuff soon, at least you don’t have to try and force meds… never fun.
Nothing really new on our end except also recovering from covid which I had managed to avoid until now. Dorian and Miu are doing great other than Dorian started…[Read more]

I think the fact you will have hormones from Roo being unspayed may cause you issues, I am not an expert on that though, so will let those that are chime in there.
My two had a pretty short (in hindsight, felt painfully long during) bonding, and they didn’t do much pre-bonding. They got along okay their first date and they had never been…[Read more]

No one new. There are other rabbits, but none which interfere with them. My oldest boy essentially fosters the new ones as they come in(teaches them rabbit things as some don’t get to live rabbit lives before coming to live with me). It appears to be purely the lack of reciprocated grooming. Which I have no idea how to get them to recirprocate…[Read more]

Tomatoes are traditionally given as an acute measure to baby buns that present with floppy bunny syndrome.
Vitamin E is often also given as an acute measure for the same symptoms. The general recommendation is to squeeze the contents of a vitamin E capsule directly into the bun’s mouth. This recommendation doesnt say anything about the strenght…[Read more]

Wait, so are there other rabbits in the house? Any new ones? If there are other rabbits around that they are not bonded too that can definitely effect the bond. Forgive me if I misread!

They are both two going on three years old. Very little gap in age(maybe a few months), next year they will be three.
They absolutely use their litter box, heck, they even share one together and sit perfectly side-by-side using it, same with while eating food. Absolutely no food aggression, they share everything.
The trigger of their tiffs is…[Read more]
