Well I’m glad she is getting more comfortable but sad she is choosing to express that by peeing on my bed lol. (good thing I was smart enough to keep a waterproof mattress protector on my bed lol).

Yeah I think I definitely need to bunny proof my room better and gradually increase the amount of time they free room in my bedroom. At the moment they are in the living area so they would go back there at night, and I like you idea of just having them free roaming during the day to start of with. I guess over time I will learn how to reduce any…[Read more]

You’ve only had her a month? Sounds to me that perhaps she is just becoming more comfortable and has decided to start “claiming” new territory. Bunnies are notorious for wanting to pee on soft surfaces, especially ones that smell strongly of their human.

The behavior you described sounds like belly pain. But that may or may not be related the the excessive peeing.

Bunnies will be bunnies, but some can definitely get into more “trouble” than others. Have you thought about bunny-proofing your room and allowing free-roam during the day? Then they could be “put to bed” at night in a pen or condo so they won’t be running around while you’re sleeping.

Have you tried putting memory foam mats under the fleece to add more cushion? Also, some members have tried sore hock booties sold on etsy and they seemed to help.

Hmm… assuming it isn’t cause by an infection (yeast, syphilis, etc.) or sludge, then it could be environmental. What type of litter are you using? What are their setups like?

There isn’t much you can do except wait. As Bam said, their fur doesn’t grow continuously.

My bunny does this pretty much every time she loafs!! I was worried about it at first for the same reasons and she is totally fine.

From what I can tell it seems like it isn’t bothering her and I can see some hair growing back I was mostly wondering if there’s any specific veggies or fruits that can help with fur growth.

Hi everyone!I am looking for some help on treating sore hocks. Butterscotch is a rex, so I am aware she is just prone to sore hocks, but this is our first time having them. She has plenty of fleece and I clean her litterbox daily. I am applying Vaseline on the wound once or twice a day (as often as she will let me). The wound is not cracked or…[Read more]

How old is your bun? If she’s starting puberty, this could be about pee marking.
Unfortunately, rabbits do like to pee on soft things, like beds and sofas and blankets.

Bam replied to the topic Hair loss after drooling in the forum DIET & CARE 3 years, 10 months ago
The hair loss was probably due to the skin being constantly wet. If the drooling has stopped, the hair should grow back now. It can take time though, depending on where in the shedding cycle she is. (Rabbits dont have continous hair growth).
Its a bit difficult to see on the pictures, but does her skin look healthy? Has her vet seen the hairloss?…[Read more]

My Bunny was drooling and was checked out by the vet and it was because she had an irritated lip line. She finally has stopped drooling but now she is missing fur around her mouth. Is this normal. If so what can I give her to help encourage fur growth?
