    Hey!

Aww little Molly whats going on! I wouldn’t be surprised if this is territorial aggression hightened by having an unbonded bun around i.e owen.. Are you still trying to bond Molly and Owen?

Glenn and Nellie are doing well…they have a vet check up tomorrow because Glenn’s ears have been a bit floppier than usual.. And of course its time…[Read more]

White rabbit, white rabbit, white rabbit!

Let’s rabbit on about rabbits this autumn ^_^

I wanted to start this month with good news: Molly has calmed down so much that we can remove one of the double fence panels during the day. It’s the one that’s farthest away from her litter box, bowl and lounging spot. We supervise, but so far they only…[Read more]

The fact that she’s losing weihgt is worrisome. Many buns have what is known intermittent soft cecotropes aka sticky poop, but that as a rule doesnt make them lose weight.

Maybe there is something in the pellets that doesnt agree with her?

You could try to add a probiotic to her diet to see if that makes a difference.

She has also been losing weight. Her poo is often sticky and clumpy instead of dry balls and other times its gooey. I cut out fresh veg from her diet and I put her on a diet of only hay and dry pellet food which helped a bit for a while but. She has also slowing been losing weight for sometime. She eats and drinks with no problems and shes very…[Read more]

Yes, bunnies can get a little itchy when they are molting. Sometimes there will be a few flakes here and there, but there shouldn’t be any scabs. If you found a flea, then it wouldn’t hurt to treat for them just in case. Revolution 0r Advantage would do the trick. Never use anything containing fipronil (e.g. Frontline).

As for the scabs, they…[Read more]

    Quality of life question:

Hi guys, you’ve been extremely helpful in your responses above so I’m hoping to get your advice here.

He seemed like he was starting to recover from the EC flare up but his hind legs have given out again, he’s slowly regaining function and we’ve started round 2 of Panacur but the scariest part is a huge mass he…[Read more]

I keep finding what looks like scabs in pumpkin’s mane. I believe this is the 3rd one I’ve found within the past 3 or 4 weeks. She doesnt seem to be itching a whole lot more, is this normal? At first she was due for a nail trimming and I thought that maybe since her nails were a little long that she had scratched herself but now her nails are…[Read more]

I don;t know why a shelter can’t just spay and neuter them without them going to new homes, I’m already the owner and if they want money I’ll pay them. It makes no sense its like these rescue places want more bunnies. Places like the RSPCA are not helping the situation they are just making things worse. A bunny could be neutered, in and out with…[Read more]

I couldn’t do that. I’m too attached to those female bunnies, they have become apart of my life now even though I haven’t had them long. I’d gladly pay to have them spayed but waiting lists are long about 2 month minimum and prices are very high right now. I was quoted 130 pounds for a spay and 91 pounds for a neuter by one vet but the only…[Read more]

I know you love all 3. But if you are considering giving someone up, have you considered the 2 girls? A shelter could spay and bond them, then adopt them out as a pair. The boy could live a solo life with you. If his behavior doesn’t bother you, then you wouldn’t necessarily need to have him neutered. It is just a thought since you are throwing…[Read more]

I don’t think the thread needs to be deleted necessarily. This actually highlights why breeding isn’t a good idea.
