LBJ10 replied to the topic Box torn in several places, is its still safe to give? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 1 year ago
Is this something you had delivered? I imagine it is fine, but if you’re worried then I would report the damaged package and ask for a new one.

Hmm… I agree, it could be a number of things, especially since there is limited information. It could be dermatitis caused from a water bowl or a dental problem. Or it could be an infection like syphilis.

Thanks for the update! I think a cat is a excellent choice.

I just saw this, sorry for the late reply! Yes, I am aware, I was a bit cautious at first, but now I volunteer and feed cats meat very often, so I am totally okay with it! I think I’ll be getting a cat, as my uni plans have changed. Thank you!

Hi!
This could perhaps be from having a wet chin after drinking. Skin that’s constantly wet looses some of it’s barrier function and yeast and bacteria can then colonize the area. The fur becomes tangled and discolored, eventually it falls out, leaving bare, raw skin.
How do his incisor teeth look? Rabbits are normally good at drinking from…[Read more]

Help!! My 6 month old rabbit is forming something on his chin. I’ve been reading too many different things that this could be and I’m freaking out! My rabbit eats, poops, and plays just fine! He does also drink out of a water bowl for context. I did make a vet appointment for Saturday afternoon but in the time being can someone help me come to sen…[Read more]

Is he eating and pooping like normal now?
I’d still suspect some pain, of some soert. Was he given pepcid with his metacam? Buns can get gastritis/stomach ulcers.
Not being fulky rebonded with Miu could factor in. But ot’s weird that he seems to be looking for an alternative place to pee.
For a while when my Mango was ill his bunwife Snöa…[Read more]

I should add the small shallow one is a plant tray for seedlings, and has never been used by either bun (I washed it well as well).

Dorian has always been super good about peeing in his litter box, but I can not get him to go in it at all. Not just pee, but he pulls the hay out to eat it outside. I have cleaned it twice, and even replaced it with a small very shallow one. No luck. I get the stray poops, especially since him and Miu are rebonding, but I don’t understand th…[Read more]

Sorry about my late reply – thanks for your responses and recommendations!!
The glycerin is plant based but after blowing $200 and trying it out, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this brand at all!! Â Also, they doctor their reviews on their website show only 5 star reviews, not the ugly!!
Nowhere on the labels or product pages online so they say not to give…[Read more]

I know my post is a little late but maybe it can help someone else online looking for info on red 40.
It’s an ingredient in metoclopramide, from the Costco I go to,  that my bunny has been on and off (but more on) since January of this year due to gastro stasis.
I used to have a severe sensitivity to blue food coloring and now I’m super worr…[Read more]

Maybe! She tends to lunge when ever she is upset, scared, irritated, just in a mood… so her lunging is less concerning. I have had a small fluffy torpedo bounce off my leg on more than one occasion. She occasionally does it to Dorian too. Usually they resolve it quickly without my interference. Never seen the boxing before though. It would of…[Read more]

Perhaps Miu is more frustrated at the fence than Dorian? She wants to get to him, but can’t.

Currently Dorian is separated from Miu, (post vet stasis recovery) but I was letting them interact through the fence supervised since it seems to perk Dorian up. He will eat while she eats for example and as he is barely eating, that is great.
Anyway she lunges at the fence and then hops away a little looking over her shoulder like she wants to…[Read more]
