This is very difficult and you do need to discuss it with your vet. Perhaps ask if Pepcid (famotidibe) could be given to help with the stomach pain? Or if you could give antibiotics as injections, so they dont have to pass through the stomach.

I also echo Sheepette flooring, as it will get the urine away quickly so it has as little contact with the rabbit as possible. It is washable and you can buy larger surfaces of it, so it would be a good investment.

I’m very sorry you are dealing with this, urine scald is something that can be hard to get under control once it starts.

If the humane society clinic regularly does rabbits and they are recommended by the local HRS, then I think it’s worth looking into. Just because they are low cost does not mean they are not competent.

So great they’re back together again and that the litterbox issues has improved. When I bonded my buns they did the wild rabbit courtship-thing too. “Danced” around each other and jumped over each other, high up in the air, just like on Nat Geographic or sth 😄 It was amazing to see and they bonded very well.

Baby animals can sleep a lot, as long as she’s eating and pooping and peeing like she should, it doesn’t seem worrisome. The mum having settled in must make the baby feel very safe and secure!

Sorry @Bam, didn’t see your comment. I did have to rebond after his surgery, why I was worried.  Luckily they did a lot of chasing and leaping, but no fighting. They were grooming each other and flopping near each other at same time,  so I think it was some bunny thing I wasn’t quite privy to.
