If she eats less hay she’ll drink less water. You can try serving her daily greens freshly rinsed and wet to get more water in her. (This will obviously result in her drinking less water, but its the total water consumption that is important.)

It does sound like this could be about hormones. This time of year even de-sexed rabbits start to get March Madness. It’s not only sex hormones that are influenced by the seasonal change.

I see from your other thread that the rabbits are bonded. I wouldn’t recommend separating them personally, because you would be able to know if there is a blockage due to lack of appetite. I think the key things are changing the environment so there is less pressure and friction on the heels. Adding soft rugs around and making sure the main living area has memory foam under fleece or vetbed seems to work pretty well.

Yep, Bicillin is a pretty common one for abscesses!

Are the bunnies bonded? How big of a piece of silicone? Rabbits tend to chew things well… so usually things pass through. And a week seems very long, usually you would know within 12 -24 hours if there was a problem.

I think i’m going to wait a week and a half maybe, to see if it increases or grows back. She has this habit to tickle her face very hard with her feet since she arrived home, i wonder if it’s relative. Thank you for answering!

It makes a lot of sense now, i’m currently living in Brazil and it’s summer now, i brush her everyday, but never the face. I must keep an eye open, but i’m surely less concerned! Thank you so much

Hi, I just read about your sweet bunny. Did your bun fully recover from the stasis? I’ve been syringe feeding CC for a month, feeling a bit overwhelmed.
