Generally you want things to get sorted out between them, but if the submissive rabbit is getting harmed or overly stressed by it, you can try and gently push the humper off. I would just keep them out and offering and eventually curiosity may set in. Some herbal toppers on the hay may encourage foraging and you can sprinkle some pellets in and see if they start generating interest then.

UPDATE! So her surgery went well. I am currently waiting on the biopsy results from the lab to find out if it’s cancerous or not, but that could take a week or more.

Are they all together? Or can she be fed separately? Perhaps it is the pellets. I tried one kind with my bun and he wouldn’t touch them. I was like “what rabbit doesn’t want pellets?”. So I tried a different kind and he thought those were great.

Jumping in without context, but if banana won’t do the trick, some rabbits enjoy CC with canned pumpkin mixed in (make sure it’s the 100% pumpkin version; not one with other things added intended for pie or something).

If she doesnt like banana, pear might do the trick 😃 Most baby foods however have banana or mango because naturally sweet, but some have pear too. It varies what fruit a bun really goes for, I have one now who is completely obsessed with apples.

Buns should be drinking water, even if they are eating greens (unless they are eating tons and tons of greens). Often they drink water after they eat hay, how is his hay consumption? Thank for the reply! Interestingly, the vet didn’t seem to catch this as a possible issue when we went. I think he was too focused on treating the snuffles symptoms, which had returned the day before the appointment. 🙁 I’ll absolutely have the vet check for this next time I’m in (which should hopefully be very soon).

thank you for the advice on the cc!!! We’re going to stop by a purchase some bananas before her vet visit to see if she’ll take them with her cc. She’s not usually a fan of bananas but we’ll try anything at this point.

Ok, I can expand on hay variety. We got a free sample box of a hay mix with flowers and treats mixed in (Grandpa’s Best Small Salad) and she only went for the timothy and orchard hay.

Interesting! Usually it’s the opposite problem! Since hay is really the most important thing, I wouldn’t worry terribly. You can try giving a wider variety of hays to make sure she’s getting some additional minerals. When I needed to put a little weight on Walter, I gave him oats, some “homemade” CC (his regular pellets put thru the blender) and a daub of banana baby food.  He loved it!
