Sometimes bunnies get so obsessed with seemingly strange things!

I think a combo of what tobyluv suggests, and maybe designating a room now that he is no longer allowed in might be a good idea. Give enough time, that room should become mostly neutral eventually.

Kitchens and bathrooms can work well because the floor can be wiped down to neutralize smells easily (and cleaning up is easier!).

I agree that food is the answer. Does he get excited about fresh hay? My buns will often run to their boxes after I top up their hay, so maybe you could time his hay-freshening for when you need him to go back in?

The problem is that my bun isn’t too interested in his pellets. He doesn’t really eat that many and I don’t think he will recognize that there are pellets in the jar. I have had good luck bonding rabbits using an x-pen.  Even if the pen is in a room that  one of the rabbits has been in before, it can become its own little neutral space.  You can place a sheet, blanket or large towels on the floor to mask any scents already on it.  You could even hang some blankets on the side of the x-pen to take away the sig…[Read more]

what I do is I train my rabbits to go in. my bunny Louis has caught on really well, but my Lola isn’t exactly up to speed yet. since she now lives with Louie she is catching on but what I do is I either take the pellet bag or the treat jar and stand right by the xpen door and shake it or open it or whatever, and Louie runs right in perfectly well…[Read more]

She is spayed. We had thought about getting a second bunny but we just don’t have the room for them to bond right now.

I actually made the gate I use to block her off with NIC grids, but I’ll definitely take a look to see if I can use them to cover the wires and baseboards.

I do the NIC grid, but not the prettiest, I saw a pic of someone who made a long box which was painted to match base boards, blended in nicely. If you are crafty that may be an idea.

whenever they hear the treat jar or pellet bag, boom! the zoom right over and circle my legs over and over. it’s how I train them to go into their xpen when I have to leave the room haha! Louie also runs across my laptop keyboard when I’m laying down with it, and he jumps on my back for attention.
