I’m glad you got him seen and the cysts cleaned out. If you got oral antibiotics for him, the foot might heal even without the silver sulfadine cream. Bandaging is always a problem with buns, they tend to remove any kind of bandage we try to put on. You can make an E-collar from a paper saucer and electrical tape and keep it on for an hour or two…[Read more]

i appreciate the reply! i am away from my computer right now so i can’t articulate a nice big reply, but i’ll touch on the main points.
i’ve definitely got space in the bathroom to turn that into a neutral space, i can’t believe i didn’t even consider that! that’s wonderful advice. and i’ll take some extra time to let Archie settle in, i’ve…[Read more]

Mounting in early stages is very normal, I wouldn’t be too alarmed. Those actually sound like promising and very normal early sessions. The fact that there is no aggression is very good. Also try your hardest not to be emotionally involved or projecting on to them. I do think you started sessions to early. I would give your new bun at least a…[Read more]

regarding full separation, it depends on how bad the fighting has been. If one bun was actually injured than full separation for several weeks could be a good idea.
I do think trying a friend’s house could be a good plan. If you are still seeing the same aggression there than I think that’s an indication that this pairing is just not a good match.

hello all!
after going on and off through a few helpful threads here, i’ve decided to finally bite the bullet and make an account of my own, for my own specific situation. this is my first time bonding two rabbits together, and it feels like all the advice in the world just does not apply to these two major freakos i have in my house.
we’ll…[Read more]

Yes, Revolution (selamectin) for kittens is the Revolution recommended for rabbits.

Hi, is the pink Revolution box the one appropriate for rabbits? The one that says for puppies and kittens? Each tube containing 0.25ml (15mg) selamectin?

I’m 99% certain my rabbit has fur mites and maybe ear mites. She’s just itching too much and has dandruff on the neck area. I want to use selamectin but my country only has ivermectin the injectable kind. The vets are not rabbit savvy so they are just telling me to treat with ivermectin. My rabbit also has the Vienna gene so it could end up bei…[Read more]

Thank you for replying!
I do have space to separate them for good if it comes to that, they already are neighbors where they live now.
I haven’t thought of going to someone else’s house, that might be a good idea. Now they’ve had a month break but are still next to each other, I’m hoping that’ll be enough to make for a fresh start.
I was…[Read more]

For a sturdier hide, check online pet stores like Chewy or Amazon for larger rabbit hideouts. Stick to willow balls and corn husk toys if she enjoys them, and consider tunnels or woven grass mats as alternatives. Experiment to find her favorite toys!

To be honest, he is a young rabbit and to me it sounds like maybe a rabbit is just not the right pet for you.
I won’t go on about your reaction to him, as you have admitted you know it was wrong regardless of the context behind it, but from your explanation of the reasonings you got him I just don’t think rabbits were ever the right choice to beg…[Read more]

One of the misconceptions about rabbits is they are cuddly pets. Can rabbits be cuddly? Yes, but not in the way most people would think when they think “cuddly”. What I mean is, they might be comfortable enough to come sit next to you. Or they might enjoy being pet or having their cheeks rubbed. But it’s also completely normal for a bunny to not…[Read more]
