Please help my baby Brandy is my first bunny and I am worried about her nose. I will attach a photo because it doesn’t look normal. Her behavior is fine though she is eating normally and the poops and pees are like they are supposed to be. Her nose is not runny at all, and she is not sneezing.

It doesn’t look like your photo posted. Can you try again?

I would definitely take your rabbit to a rabbit-experienced vet, which should be an exotic vet (not a traditional dog/cat vet). If I’m perceiving the image correctly, it looks like there is a growth/significant swelling protruding out of the nose, which is not good. Rabbits are obligate nasal breathers, meaning they must breath through their nose. Anything obstructing that needs to be taken seriously.

I absolutely agree with @Wick… this looks serious. Please take her to a vet immediately. You really don’t want it to end up blocking her nose, and leading her to suffocate. Poor baby

That does look alarming. How long have you had her? Could she have been bitten by another rabbit before you brought her home?

Where are you located? Are you in the US?

I have had her for a week and a bit now. She is still not showing any breathing problems and she is her lively self running around and playing with her toys. She still eats normal and everything. I also think one of the other rabbits bit her.

Just a little update on my Brandy. We took her to the vet and the vet said that it looks like a wart which is common in dwarf bunnies. She said to just keep an eye on it but it should fall of in a couple of days. Which it did.

Thank you to everyone that replied. I appreciate it so much. I will attach a photo of what het nose looks like now.

It still has a scab but the vet said that it will heal with time 🌸 I also received an ointment to apply

Thank you for updating us! I’m glad to hear it was identified to be a wart instead of something else. Unsure if there’s an open wound or not from it falling off, but make sure to monitor it and the area stays clean so it heals without infection. It’s great that you got an ointment as well to keep it maintained.

I have a dwarf myself and have never heard/seen a wart before. Again, thanks for sharing!

Oh, like a papilloma? It didn’t look like one in the photo. Then again, it may just look weird since it was on the end of the nose.
