Hi everybunny I’m going to adopt a rabbit in a few days and we own a white willow tree so I was wondering if white willow was safe to eat

Rabbits can eat white willow, Salix alba. We have a big white willow in our yard, and all my buns have appreciated leaves and twigs from that tree. I had one rabbit who wouldn’t eat anything but leaves from that tree when he was poorly.

Start with a few leaves, of course -all new food should be introduced slowly and gradually.

Yep, bunnies love willow. Just make sure it isn’t treated with chemicals if you’re collecting it outside.
