Hi there! My almost 9 year old cream colored rabbit has a yellowed stain on her chest right below her neck. Her paws are always a little slightly stained because they’re white but not bad at all…. But I noticed her chest today, of course on Christmas Eve where I can’t call the vet… so I’m worried.
She does NOT have any nasal discharge nor is she acting lethargic in any way to indicate she may be sick. She is getting older… so is this normal? I can’t think of anything she ate recently that would make her chest stain yellow.

Generally, is this normal? I don’t see any eye or nasal discharge. She has a bit of a wet spot above her private area, but the private area itself is clean.

Hmm, does she have a dewlap that could make it harder for her to clean herself?

Is the wet area on her belly persistent? I’m wondering if she just had a urine accident and laid in it, or if there’s a more persistent problem. In any case, if she is eating normally and behaving normally I don’t think this is an emergency, so it would be OK to monitor until things are open again and then give the vet a ring if it persists.

See if you can get her teeth checked it may be that the rear teeth are over grown at least that’s what happened with my bunny.
