  When you take in a pet it should be a lifetime commitment and is something I take very seriously.
  
  However, the person who I have look after my bunnies when I’m on travel has recently lost her own bunny that she had for 10+ years. She and Storm have a very good bond and Storm would be a good source of comfort for her.
  
  Would it be unethical / unfair to surrender Storm to the pet sitter? I love taking care of Storm and giving her head rubs when she hops up to say hi but I can’t help but wonder if the pet sitter needs Storm more than I do. I don’t think Harley or Thumper would notice her absence at all as they still aren’t bonded with her.

  I mean, if Storm has a good bond with her then I guess it’s okay. I personally find it a little strange tho. I couldn’t imagine ever giving up my animal/s because I thought someone else ‘needed them more’. Maybe I’m selfish.

  If the pet sitter needs Storm and Storm will have a good life there, I wouldn’t have any moral qualms. Would Storm miss Harley and Thumper? Rabbits often like living among other rabbits even if they are not bonded. That is not true for all buns, though, some buns flourish when they become the only bun.
