        Hi everyone,
We have a 2 year old dwarf and she has been acting strange for a few hours. She is just sitting in a corner not moving much. She is shaking most of the time and has cold ears despite it being warm here at the moment. She was eating and pooping normally earlier today. Unfortunately it is Sunday night here and there are no emergency vets that see rabbits. Does anyone have any advice until the vet opens in the morning? I’m so worried about her.

Oh dear, poor bun ): Has she stopped eating and pooping now?
Have you felt her stomach to see if she’s having some gas pain?

Wrap her in something to keep her warm. You could also give her a tummy massage and baby gas drops (simethicone) which can normally be found in pharmacies just in case it’s gas.

Thank you so much for your responses!
I did wrap her up in blankets and I have her some simethicone last night. I checked on her throughout the night and around 1am she was hopping around and eating hay yay! She also ate her greens that I had left her. She seems normal this morning, active and bright eyed and her ears feel a more normal temperature. I’m so relieved to see her looking better, she gave us quite the scare last night!
Do you think I should still call the vet when they open? Or should I give her more simethicone this morning?
              Thank you again!

I think it would be a good idea to have the vet give her a checkup just in case, and keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t have a relapse of whatever was wrong.

Glad to hear she’s better! You can always still take her to the vet just to be sure.
