Hello, I am worried about my Bonnie and wondered if anyone had any advice. Firstly I am from the UK. Bonnie Boops is displaying wobbly unbalanced symptoms. The vet has checked her over twice now and can’t find anything wrong with her physically. She hops around ok but when jumping into her cage or onto something, it is like her back legs go and she loses balance so falls back on herself if that makes sense. It is quite hard to explain. She doesn’t get as excited for treats anymore, and tonight she won’t eat her veggies for dinner or much hay. She drank a small bit. I’ve got her caged so I can monitor exactly what she’s eating/pooping as I have another bunny aswell. I’ve just started treating her with Panacur (she is on her 9th day) and she has had 1 dose of Metacam prescribed by the vet incase she is in any sort of pain. I really don’t know what to do because I am thinking it is probably brain related and the vets are suggesting I take her to the exoctic vets but bearing in mind they cost £130 just for a consultation, I really can’t afford that; let alone treatment on top but I just don’t know what to do as all I want is for her to be better and fine again. I feel like I either have to just keep going as I am and hope (if it’s E.cuniculi) that she will sort herself out (btw I know it isn’t curable) or do I just face facts and take her to a specialist? I don’t know how I’d do the financial side, or else I’d be up there in a dash. It is so hard, but I don’t think the UK vets really understand Bunnys enough.
