  My “baby” bun Noelle won’t litter train!
  
  Short history: She is around 4 months old and is not spayed because I can’t get her spayed until she’s 6 months. I have another rabbit who is 2 months older than her that is recently spayed. They do NOT bunk together, because Ezra (the older) is NOT nice to Noelle.
  
  I have kept her for weeks in a dog crate, and she did great. I moved her into the bunny condo on the lower level (60″x30″). I also let her run around in an ex pen. She sits in her litter box in one spot and uses the potty in that one spot, causing her feet to usually always be wet. AND she potty’s all over the condo.
  
  At first I thought it was a territory thing, and maybe it is. But I feel like she should be trained to her box, being that rabbits are supposed to be clean and all.
  
  Am I overreacting? Is it territorial, even if the other bun isn’t in her space? She is also currently being treated for a double ear infection and parasite that makes her fall over. The vet said the ear infection shouldn’t affect potty training, but didn’t say either way about the parasite. Could that be a reason?
  
  Sorry for the LONG post, but I’m concerned for her, and the fact that I may not ever be able to let her roam because she pee’s all over the place!

  Well if she’s ill then I would make getting her well you priority…it’s very likely that she just wants to feel better and potty training can come later. And yes, she cannot be free roam.
  
  Also she is at an age when it is more difficult to litter train – age and altering will help but like I said, just let her get better and make that your priority. Your vet is wrong that this won’t affect her being litter trained – she obviously doesn’t feel well.

  OH of course, we are treating her and caring for her carefully!! It’s my top priority, I can’t stand the thought of her not being well! I cannot say if she was ill from day one, as she was just recently diagnose last week.
  
  She’s struggled with the potty thing since we got her. We got her at about 2 months. I am just trying to think ahead, trouble shoot anything anyone might have any advice for.
  
  After she gets better, we plan to have her fixed as soon as she turns 6 months.

  I agree, would not worry about litter training until she’s done her meds and is doing well and maybe even a month or so after the spay.
  
  You can certainly keep it up which will help-add a few litter trays in all corners (they want to go potty in corners), sweep and wipe up pee a few times a day (put the poops you swept into the litter pans. Essentially give her lots of options to use, and keep it very clean and she may follow suit-but don’t get your hopes up until she’s well and had her spay
