I saw a new Orthopedic Surgeon ysterday because my knee never healed right after my ACL surgery last year and I have to get my leg better so I can exercise to help the Fibromyalgia that I found out a few days ago that I have.  So I thought I would go in and be told I needed more therapy.  I was informed thhat the last surgery wasn’t done correctly and might need to be done again.  I also found out the my PCL is practically non-existent.  It’s suppose to be 12mm thick and is only 3mm which makes it so my leg can be rotated out and down and my Tibia not sit in the right place.  I also have another ligament in the back of my knee that is unstable which makes my leg hyper extend a lot.

One of the most frustrating things is that the new doctor could see this on my old MRI.  Why didn’t the last radiologist and doctor catch this?  He made it very clear that this will be VERY difficult if we decide to operate but this effect my everyday things I do.  I can’t even use a bike or elliptical for 5 minutes without pain.  He ordered a new MRI to at least check the stability of the new ACL and to see exactly what is going on with the other ligaments.  So, for now all I can do is wait.

        Thanks for listeing.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with all of this I’d talk to a lawyer, it might be worth seeing if you can sue the old doctor for malpractice or something, even if just so he can’t screw someone else up

Just a word of advice about seeing a lawyer, don’t draw up the suit until your knee is fixed with the new doctor. I thought about suing my old doctor for malpractice because well he did screw up but my dad who is a lawyer said to wait until the knee is fixed because if your new doctor hears about the lawsuit it will make him not want to “work” with you. If you catch my drift.

But after your all better. You should definitely look into it. I never did end up suing my doctor. I’m trying to make peace with otherwise. But its hard.

I have no need to sue. It’s possible that the old ACL surgery won’t need fixed. I’ll know after my next MRI. I’m kind of glad the old surgeon didn’t find the other problems though. I wouldn’t have wanted him fixing them. I’m just happy I have answers and that I found a good surgeon that I can trust now.

Hope youre feeling better soon, I have had chronic fatigue syndrome for a year 1/2 which is linked very closely to Fibromyalgia so i can definitly understand your fustrations, while your waiting you should look into excercise friendly to fibro as one thing you will find is that many doctors are not extremely familiar with the condition and you really have to do a lot of research yourself. Another thing i can say is that bunnys will do wonders to cheer you up =^-^=
