I went to the infamous Pet Land this weekend to look at their baby buns and pet them and there was this cute black lionhead sulking in his own enclosure away from all the other bunnies. All the other buns were together with 3-4 friends, but this fella was all alone. I petted him and he didn’t react, which is somewhat unusual, but maybe he was used to being pet. Then I had the irresistible urge to pick him up and snuggle him 🙁 He had really long talons and he was a kicker! I tried to hold him like I usually hold my buns (and they usually are calm and well-behaved once I get them secure) but he just kept lashing out with all his rabbit might! Wounded, I had to gently place him back and he returned to pouting on his own…lesson learned!

Then I picked up a baby bun and it was totally calm and friendly ^_^

            …Sarita? How is that relevant?

Lago, sounds sad! Poor Lionhead has probably been there awhile and not very socialized

That is very weird because he was asking about chinchillas….so I linked this. That is how it was relevant. This was not in the post.

This was the original post from Lago –

I was considering getting a Chinchilla today…do Rabbits and Chinchillas make good cage-mates? Can they be friends? Will it harm the buns to lick a Chinchilla’s dusty fur? Will the bunnies attack the chinchilla like they do with foreign rabbits? Does anyone here have a chinchilla/rabbit pair?

Not sure what happened here — Lago, did you mean to edit your post or did you mean to start a new post?   Just trying to find out what happened here or if there is some sort of glitch going on.

                    Helloworld!!

Oh, well since sarita posted that link to the discussion of my question i wanted to delete my post, but i couldn’t figure out how to delete it so i just re-purposed it into a new post! i was recycling ^_^

anyways, i hope no unsuspecting child gets handed that bucking black lionhead and gets hurt like i did…they will hate rabbits for life!
