Hello! I’m new here and before starting, I’d like to say that I don’t know anything about my rabbit’s history or breed (I need serious help
).
I adopted my bunny at July 6, this year. At first she didn’t want any interaction of any manner, but I can honestly say that she is now a social, happy and healthy little rabbit. I also need to mention that I did not know that my mom bought me a meat rabbit. I honestly did not know what to do, and I still don’t know. I need someone’s insight on this. D:
The reason why I made this thread is because I noticed a difference in how my rabbit normally stands. I found the source of her discomfort, which is her toes. I trimmed her nails for the second time last week. The first time I trimmed them, she showed no signs of discomfort. I don’t know what happened because nothing changed much. I clean her cage daily, her food and water are always fresh and she has a lot of exercise (She’s a free-range bunny).
I noticed that her claws now point away from the ground and the area around it has no fur and is very dry. Her front paws also twitch a lot and she started resting on her heels. She also seems very lazy, because she doesn’t run around as much at night. I need help, what did I do wrong?
My parents are also very ignorant and they don’t like spending money on pets, so going to the vet isn’t an option for me.
I would post photos of my bunny, but I’m using a friend’s laptop. Once I get my laptop back, I’ll definitely add pictures.
