  I got an ad in my email for these the other day.
  
  I’ve always liked Gloomy Bear, but never wanted to bring home a plush with blood on it’s claws…these are PERFECT!
  
  Creepy, with a touch of SQUEE!
  
  They also come in white, yellow and pink.

  I think the Kubrick company started this line. (which later became Bearbrick?) They usually sell at comic shops or anime stores. You think at first glance it’s this big headed chibi kind of teddy bear, till you see the big claws dripping blood at the ends of it’s little pink arms. 0_o
  The bunny is in much better taste, imo. But I can see the appeal of the bears to a certain fan base.
  
  Since I spent most of my kids’ young lives getting them Japanese toys from Pokemon & Digimon, I’ve run the gamut of all the online shops. ^_^ They still send me stuff. This guy was too hard to resist, so I bagged him. Not sure if we’re allowed to post the site names anymroe, so I didn’t include a link this time.

  Where can I get this?! I’m wearing the gloomy bear slippers that the guy I’m dating got my for xmas right now (he has a gloomy panda TATTOOED on him and he was pretty bummed they only come in “Asian girl sizes”… I managed to find someone weirder than me somehow)! haha

  Sonn- I’m not sure which I like better, the white or the yellow. I would probably have preferred pink but I think they must be sold out. Those little things are adorable! I want those too! It’s sooooo fun to be young at heart!!!!

  Keep checking back with them. They were out of the color I wanted and I was going to give up, but checked the site just for giggles the next day and they had the one I wanted, so I nabbed it. ^_^
  Sorry I didn’t get back to this thread sooner ladies, I’m afraid my daughter’s been hogging the PC.
  
  lolz…Rachel, I just got myself some Sanrio/My Melody slippers that I had hoped would be big enough…they just BARELY fit my feet. I figure I’ll use them to keep my dogs covered when I lotion them, so Jenna doesn’t lick the stuff off, but there’s no way I could walk in them! 0_o
  It’s my understanding that the Chinese women bound their feet all their lives to make them look smaller, as large feet on a woman are considered unattractive. I know we gals go through some serious stuff for the sake of beauty, but that would be too much for me! Can you imagine how bad their backs are from that kind of punishment??

  Your best bet would be Ebay. The Sanrio site doesn’t have any that I can see.
  Still…they are SO TINY. Who has feet like that??
  
  You need to send me a piccy of your new My Melody plush. I really wanted to get the dark pink with the black bow they had at the site, but I’ve spent too much money already this month. >.<

  I love My Melody! I just bought her Pez Dispenser over the weekend! I was at Wal-Mart recently and they have a bunch of SugarBunnies plush and toys too. I was excited. I need to get me some.
  
  Mimz- I had read a book that had a lot of gruesome details about the chinese women binding their feet. Apparently, quite a few of the women who tried it died from it because they actually break the bones in the foot and they got infected into the blood. They started it as young girls and kept making them smaller and smaller. No man is worth that much pain!!!!!

  MB….no fair. *pouts* I would’ve gotten that one, and probably the lighter pink for my daughter, but I’d already gotten us some Gloomy Buns.
  
  Which arrived already, btw! ^_^ SQUEE! They are SO SOFT!
  However, I don’t like the little cartoon depicted on the hang tag. Shows two kids taking the bun and swinging it around by it’s ears and playing tug of war with them…I think that’s inappropriate, even if these are toys for adult collectors. But the plush is cute anyway.
  
  I also got one of those solar nodding bunnies, the gold one, from the same place. When I was a kid, I loved those ‘light bulb’ things we had in science class with the four little solar panels inside that would spin when the sun was shining on it…this is kind of like that, but cuter. And believe me, after three months of extreme darkness, you celebrate the return of the sunlight any way you can! ^_^
