So. My boyfriend, who was my bonding “partner” left for home on wednesday. So since then I’ve been doing 1–2 hour sessions in the bathtub. There haven’t been many tiffs, and no major fights. Lots of biting though. Zelda is usually the agressor, but the past couple of days Pixel has started biting *her*.  Yesterday Zelda actually groomed him. It lasted three minutes. Then, she jumped over his head, onto his back and started to hump him. It was very quick, and as usual she bit him at the end. That set everything back, because once she bit him he became afraid of her. Today, she groomed him for 5 mins. Both times these happened an hour or more into the session. after she groomed him there was no humping. They lay face to face with their heads lowered. Then I took them out and switched who went in what cage. Pixel got up on his legs and was trying to see Zelda. lol.

I’ve been reading to them in the tub(I get reading in and it soothes them) and brushing them too.

I’ve tried the laundry basket vacuum thing(no effect) and x-pen sessions.I tried force snuggling in the litter box, and the banana on the forehead trick(lots of chasing, and frightened/ annoyd buns) Where do I go from here, and what else can I try?

Their behaviors sound pretty normal. Since they’re not fighting, I think they just need more time. You can try a different bonding space to see if that changes their behavior.
