  I have been trying to bond the new bun to my bonded two. When is it the ‘right’ time to put them all together (not in their neutral bonding spots)? How do you neutralize all their old stuff cause if I spray everything down and then just put them back in it they are going to remark everything all over again?

  Hey mrmac, I would recommend trying to bond each rabbit separately to the new bun in a neutral zone, and then semi-neutral and after that you could try and see how each one will do in the existing old territory with each other. I wouldn’t put all three together until you can be sure that they all have gotten along with one another as pairs. Once they do get along, each bun seaparately with the new rabbit, you can try, one at a time with the new bunny, putting them in the original pair’s territory without neutralizing things. Again, I would bond everybun to everybun as pairs first and then allow the three-way bonding to grow out of that.

  When all of the bunnies are able to spend time together for extended periods of time, then I think you are getting to the point when you can put them all together. Usually they first have to work out their dominance issues, and then get to the point where they are grooming one another. Once you are comfortable leaving them alone together you can start working on creating a new cage for them to live in together. I know that some people will actually leave the bunnies un-supervised but be hiding around the corner to listen in case a fight breaks out. This, of course, happens only after you have had several bonding sessions with them and have seen them all get to the point of grooming one another.
