Hi Guys, My boy coffee is currently 13 weeks old.  I want to get him neutered as soon as possible. Can I get him neutered now? Is it safe? If not when is a good time?  I also want to know when do you get your baby boy neutered. Thanks for your help!!

Hey there! Bucks can usually be neutered at 3 1/2 to 4 months of age, as soon as the testicles descend.

13 weeks old is a little too soon I think. It is a good time to get them neutered at five to six months, because it’s not too young and not too old. I’m currently in the process of scheduling a neuter for my seven month old baby. You can only neuter him after his testicles have dropped, which you can tell when they have because there is pink things poking out down there. Sometimes they hide them from you though. You will definitely want to do if he starts honking and circling you, spraying pee on objects, becoming aggressive, pooping and losing good litter habits, etc. In my opinion, it’s best to do a pre operation vet visit to get to know the veternarian if you already don’t and to make sure your rabbit is ready.

Some people get their rabbits neutered from 10 weeks, as it depends on a variety of factors. Personally, I’ve always waited until 5-6 months, but it depends on the bunny and the vet. Is there any particular reason that you’re in a rush?

8 months because Wick was a late bloomer. His balls didn’t drop until then. It’s uncommon for it to be that late.
