I have a standard, rigid plastic carrier for my rabbit. It keeps him secure for trips to the vet etc, but it’s just really difficult to carry – with one hard plastic handle in the middle it’s very unwieldy, and my rabbit is a french lop so he’s heavy (and still getting heavier
). I can’t drive, so I’d really like a carrier that’s easier to move longer distances on my own, so that I can get to public transport etc. I like the idea of one that can be wheeled like a suitcase, and/or that can be carried as a backpack (looking at something like this). But I know that fabric carriers are often recommended against for rabbits because they can chew through.Has anyone used a fabric backpack/wheeled type carrier like this with success? Or found a rigid plastic carrier that can be wheeled or carried in that way? Or any other suggestions about how to transport a rabbit securely in a way that’s easier when the carrier isn’t instantly being put straight in a car?
