I know it has been a while guys sorry but I still cannot find the bunny proofing supplies. Where do I go im considering online but I kind of want to feel them in person to make sure its exactly what I need and is going to be safe for her .
If you go for things like metal grates / cubes and plastic cord covers, you won’t have to worry about it being safe. Those are definitely going to be okay for her to be around. c:
Check out MidlandHardware.com. You may be able to find stuff there that can be shipped to you.
For a sturdy hidey-house, as others have already suggested, untreated wood is a great material to use. You just want to stay away from particle board (treated with toxic chemicals), and anything else that’s been treated, finished, glossed, etc.
Also, about your nail-clipping question – yes, it’s okay just to do the tips. That’s all you really should be doing, anyway. You can cut down a little ways before you see the “quick” (that’s the darker and/or pink area in your bunny’s nails), but the tips are just fine. You want the nails to be roughly the same length as the fur on the paws — or, if you have a rex, then just a little longer than the paw pads.
