Can anyone tell me what type of rabbit is Ebony?

This morning she was out running and binking around the back.

She ran along flipped on her side and rolled in the dirt like a dog does,

I have never seen that before it was so funny.

Oh thats so sweet … she is a happy bunny if she does her binkies!

The flop is so cute …. My Luey does that too …. looks like he is trying to get into a comfie position and then he licks his front paw.

          Aawww so sweet!

I am not sure what type of bunny she is … could be a cross breed … like a moggie!

          Dawn x

Too cute and what a happy bunny! I would say she is a mixed breed, a loveable mutt like my two.

This is just a guess, but I would say a mixed breed with some Flemish Giant in her (they are characterized by their roll of fat under their neck.) I’m not sure what breeds you have in Australia. Maybe they are different than in Canada. She’s very cute though!

That roll of skin is called a "dewlap".  I have no idea what it is for, but many female bunnies have them.

Even Thumper’s girlfriend in Bambi has one, although you can’t see it very well in this picture…

I couldn’t tell her colors too well in the picture, but I think she looks like an English Spotted.  Oreo, from our therapy program, was an english spotted bun and she had the black eyes and black splotches on her nose.  She even had little black spots down he spine, but you could only see them when she stood on her hind legs.  The spots led right to her cotton tail.

Hmm most of her babies have a black line down their back with lots of splotches.

                        Could be an English spotted.

I have a girl bun that looks just like that – I think that she may be an English Spot – at least thats what I think my girl bun is There is probably a bit of something else mixed in there as well, that happens quite a bit with domestic bunnies. She looks like quite a comfy bunny in that little loaf position. Grace ( my girl that looks like that) spends much of her time in the “flop” position as well.
