Hello I have a 3 month old French angora rabbit, her name is Cookies and Creme (but we call her C.C. for short). She is litter box trained but only is her pen. The reason I haven’t started to train her in other rooms is because of the straw that we use for litter box bedding gets stuck in her hair. I have read different articles on what type of litter to use that won’t get stuck in her hair and have found that Yesterday’s News and TerrAmigo are the top 2 kinds. Any info on which kind to use would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I use paper based litter, (Back 2 Nature – I think its the same as yesterdays news though but in the UK), it’s really good at containing smell, and doesn’t get stuck to them.

Lots of people also use non-clumping wood cat litter pellets, which are also good at containing smell, and don’t stick to them. My bunnies are too fussy to use the wood ones, but they’re cheaper and I imagine if they don’t know any difference there’s no reason why yours wouldn’t like them.

You can use a compacting litter and out a screen on top of it so it doesn’t get everywhere.

I’ve used YN for over 10 years so obviously it’s good stuff.
