I am the proud mommy of two very sweet bunnies. My younger boy gizmo is a tan lion head but my older boy dudley is an unkown.  I don’t even know how old he is I’m guess around 1 -1 1/2yrs. He is a really cute black male with like a dusting of white on his back. I was told when  I adopted him that he was a lopped eared ( one ear us up one was down) but as he got a bit older both his ears stand up and the don’t look like the ears you would see on a lopped eared rabbit. I guess it would just be nice to know what breed he is, any guess?

Ohhh I know what the color is called! It’s black otter. The otter color is when their are lighter highlights on the underside and nose.

Breed I can’t help on, I only know a few distinctive breeds

By a dusting of white do you mean there are some whitish hairs through out his coat? It is kind of what it looks like. He might have a bit of Silver or Silver Marten in him….I agree, I think he’s a young bun!……….and Cute.  Now I’ll wait to see picture of Gizmo…..hehe!

I agree – he looks like a silver martin.  Here’s a link to a pic of one http://www.gotpetsonline.com/pictures/gallery/small-animals/alphabetically/silver-martins/silver-martin-0002/

Just remember that over 95% of the rabbits you find outside of breeders are almost always mutts so we can only estimate. But yes, a silver martin sounds about right.
