        Hello.

I always clean Toby’s bowl with Dish soap and warm water. Is this safe? What do you guys use?

Washing up liquid and hot water. Rinse really well.

I use one of the natural dish liquids, such as Seventh Generation or Ecos, which is the same thing that I use for our dishes. I’ll either use unscented or lightly scented products. I find that some dish liquids can leave behind a perfumey smell, even some of the other natural brands. I use warm/hot water, and rinse well.

              Yes, just rinse well!

If it gets hard water deposits building up (like mine do) you can soak it with a vinegar solution for a couple hours. I usually do this with mine every week or so because our water is so full of minerals.

Sounds fine to me If people are worried about bacteria or parasites you could also sterilise the bowl in a pan with boiling water for a couple of minutes. This only works for metal or ceramics though.
