Hi, I’m Helen and my princess is Twitch.
But the question here is what breed might she be? I know you’re all very knowledgeable and I’m very not, so perhaps you can give us a clue!
She’s very personable, loves people and attention and hates being put back into her cage. She’s 5 months and hasn’t stopped growing since we got her. She’s about 2.5kg but not fat, and she loves broccoli, carrots and Daddy above everything.

Since you are in the UK, it’s quite possible she is a wildie mix with a domestic breed.
She has quite an arch to her back yet her legs remind me of a lop. Her lean form is probably due to her age…
The wild colouring is common in domestic breeds also though.
Her ears look so big in this pic. Is that just the camera angle?ETA: you’ve mention in your other thread that she’s been labelled an English cross. The terminology for rabbit needs and colours changes around the world. So I’m thinking that could mean several different things!
I don’t have any idea what breed combo she might be but she’s lovely all the same. -

What a beauty! Twitch’s coloring is so unique, very special indeed. Most bunnies hate being locked up. You should look into getting a puppy pen for her so she has more space to hop around/stretch/play when you’re sleeping or not home.Thank you! Your comment about the playpen has cemented my thoughts on extending her cage, so we’ve ordered one – I’m sure she will be a very happy bun with it! Plus then we can leave her to be able to play without worrying that she needs to stretch the paws…
Ooh thanks LBJ, I’ll get a cuppa and settle down with that tomorrow! I know all that really matters is that she is unbelievably loved – but it’d be nice to have a (good) idea about where she’s come from

She’s gorgeous
She looks like an agouti cross, it’s hard to tell without looking at her fur ( I’ve just got a massive book of rabbit breeds out the library, and I’m glad to be able to put it to use ) Has she got an undercoat? Check for two different types of fur, long and short, if there is only one, she will be a rex. She doesn’t look like a rex, but I might be wrong. Agoutis ( rabbits with wild colouring ) can occur in most rabbit breeds, so she could be pretty much anything
She does look like a silver or english due to the size and body shape. Is she a rescue rabbit, pet shop, or breeder. That might give me some idea of her parentage. -

She was a pet shop baby, rescued from the eyes of everyone (which is probably where she gets her attention seeking tendencies from!!)

QueenTwitch- That’s awesome, she will be glad to have the extra space and never be locked up in a cage again. You can still have the cage inside the playpen with the door open b/c my bun goes in there to sleep sometimes.
She loves her freedom, that’s for sure! I can’t wait to give her more space, she looks so big in her cage – it always used to look so massive around her… She sleeps on a sort of platform, think she likes the height most.

You’ll get a better idea once she has done growing. The lean look and big ears could just be due to her age. Sometimes after their body catches up, the ears look more in proportion.That’s a very good point, jerseygirl – her colour even changes every day, she’s got new spots all the time. Can’t wait to see what she grows up to be

QT- Agouti is just a dominant color gene that gives that “wild animal” look, usually a band of colors in one hair (think squirrel’s fur). Also, I was intrigued by the mystery of your bun’s breed so I did some research and actually found my own bunny’s pedigree
! At a closer look, Twitch seemed to look very similar esp in the first pic of her sitting upright to the Swedish Hare as well: http://swedishhareuk.weebly.com/index.html This is a mixed breed that was newly developed to excel at rabbit sports, but also have good looks for rabbit shows. How confusing! We do call her our little hare but clearly she can’t be!!
Caroline – Lucy is gorgeous, look at those eyes! T may well turn out to be much bigger – I’m a bit worried that she will grow too big for the space we have for her, but we’ve just installed her playpen, which she is now pooping all over to mark her territory – will be putting another litter tray in as soon as that arrives to make sure it’s more homey…
