It’s been so long! Bun and Stephano finally got neutered 2 weeks ago and it went awesome! The vet was very experienced and they were ready to come home in four hours. For both of them it cost $321.80. The day before Bun started biting, but a couple days after the surgery was back to his normal, lovable self. (:

QUESTION- Can rabbits have carrot tops?

Bun’s New Friend- see pic below to see what he looks like. (; He’s a year old. His name is Cupie. (:

Carrot tops are actually healthier, make sure they’re organic and washed if you’re giving the leaves, pesticides aren’t regulated on the leaves.

Yes, carrot tops are very good for buns.

What a beautiful bird – is it some kind of dove?

I love doves! I feed the birds (and a small field mouse) and squirrel (well, that’s not intentional but you know squirrels) and we have alot of mourning doves and Asian collared doves. I’ve never seen a ringneck dove though – I would definitely notice a dove that looked like that – so pretty.

Ringnecks come in MANY different colors. They also come in silky and tufted. If anyone wants a bird and never had one, doves are very clean, they do not bite due to soft beaks, and they are very calm. They are super cheap to care for (can buy dove/pigeon food or wild bird seed which consists of the same thing). Males coo and females are silent. They dont play with toys and only require perches. Only need 2 sq ft per bird, and do best in a small animal cage. They are also cuddly and make great pets for kids. Sorry for information overload, but I figured it may be beneficial to some.(:

                        Hurray for successful neuters!

Beautiful Dove. My neighbour is a crazy bird lady in that she has a zillion bird feeders but I enjoy seeing the mourning doves that hang out in my yard. I can hear them right now, actually. The pigeons I could do without. But I like doves.
