This is a weird question. So we just got our 1 year old neutered. And hes doing great but, they left his testicle sack. Now our other boy we have does not have that. Is that common practice to leave em or do they retract in time?? It looks very very weird.

It takes awhile for the testicles to shrivel up after the neuter so this is normal. don’t worry.

I just got Thumper neutered on Sat. and have seen this as well. I was told that is should “disappear” in a few days. Best wishes to you and your little one!

The neuters that I have seen are just like that.  There are two incisions in the scrotum, and the testicles are removed.  I guess it must shrivel up, because DJ has no sign of a sack there.

The way the ex described neuters to me….is they go into the sac and take the testes out.  The sac still is intact, the only thing is that over time it looks like deflated balls.  That sounds really bad!  My white cat looks like he has little cotton balls back there.  B/c the male bun has the sacs more internal…it tends to just look like lumps.  They can be swollen post surgery and time will decrease this.  However, the sac still has other stuff inside, so it will still be present.  I hope this made sense?
