Hi guys! So a while back i was just cuddling with my bunny, eating some BBQ chips, and I offered her one as a joke not really thinking she’d actually eat it (don’t lynch me for this). But to my surprise she tore it from my hand and devoured it. Ever since then she acts like she’s addicted. Any time I have the bag out she’ll pounce on it and try to shove her face in, she goes absolutely crazy. That’s odd, isn’t it? BBQ chips are made with chicken fat and rabbit’s are supposed to be herbivores, right? I have no idea what is going on lol. She is a fiend and I created a monster and I don’t know how to stop it.

Mother like daughter I guess since I’m also addicted to the chips. Has anyone else had something weird like this happen? Is this normal?

SIDE NOTE: she can also open a bag of oreo’s on her own. It’s the peel and stick kind, she literally bites it and lifts it up. I think I have some mutant genius rabbit

Bunnies can and will devour almost anything, ANYTHING. Lol. Plastic, chips, pizza, bread, even bacon or other meats, you name it. They don’t really know what’s bad for them so it’s up to the hoomans to make sure they don’t swallow things they shouldn’t.

It sounds like she managed to get the piece of chip out of her system, but do be careful and keep an eye on her so she doesn’t get herself into dangerous situations Some bunnies aren’t so lucky and end up with a sick stomach. She’ll probably forget about it after some time…though if you keep eating it anyway it’s hard for her to forget, so perhaps just go to a room quietly and eat it there? Lol!

Rabbits will eat literally anything, and its up to you to ensure that she doesn’t get into things that aren’t suitable. You certainly shouldn’t be actively feeding her chips.

Podge goes mad for crisps, none of the other bunnies will, it’s just something some buns do. Podge gets a tiny crumb if he’s out when I’m eating crisps else he’ll literally steal bigger bits from my mouth…
