well by the time her appmnt. came her eye looked better but I took her in anyway. seems she has an infection or cold in it and it is draining to her left nostril. so she has some eyedrops 2 drops twice a day for 7-10 days and if not clearing up to come back right away. she is so sweet. vet asked if she was eating and she had been eating good today her pellets were all gone and her hay all cleared out this morning and again her hay is all gone b4 we left so I am putting her some more of that. this afternoon I feed it twice a day even 3 x if she needs it. she loves hay great.  it wasn’t from fighting at all fortunately I feel better about that I thougth batting at each other had caused it or a piece of hay got in there but no an infection I am glad I took her in right away  she is on Gentamicin solution she was so sweet with me but not at the vets.  I guess or wasn’t used to other people since been with me for almost a month aready. I did like the way she was handled very carefully and safe care taken for her back and so forth. also I saw an english angora ohhhh I love them. the lady just had her shaved by the groomer there. we talked. and yes the vet there sees rabbits fairly often too. so I did feel confident with her.

I’m glad she is alright. Just curious, what colour was the discharge from her eye and what did the vet do to determine it was an infection?

the tearing seemed clear her fur a big big wet spot and her eye was examined and is red where should be white. and the nose too was crusty so figured was infection from that. the same nostril as her runny eye was crusty

That’s great! So glad you took her in as it is so important to take them to the vet so things don’t get out of control!

I’ve decided I will call the vet for Olivia’s eye tomorrow a.m. and make an apt for Friday al.m. so if it’s infected I can get it cleared up and bring my baby home!!

I’d rather pay the vet the $ to make sure it’s nothing than worry!
