Well I was part of this forum a couple years back, we have Oreo and Dora. Dora was a resue from a PetStore and sadly only lived a little while due to health issues. Orea was a lop and we resuced him from a shelter. Oreo was an older bun and lived with us for two years before passing. They both were fantastic buns and FULL of energy.

We decided we did not want to rush into a new bunny right away that we would know when the time was right. My five year old would constantly talk about his bunnies and ask for a new one but we would just tell him it was not a good time. After the finace became my husband I felt like I had time again. So I started to research at rescues and shelters and then I thought I would just look on Kijiji. I came across MJ. He was a male Netherland Dwarf and even Neautered (YAY) He came with a cage and carrier and a box full of toys….and just about everything a bunny would need. (Needless to say my dads pick up was FULL!!!!! ) There was also the option of buying the huge two story ferret cage he had lived in for almost two years for $100 bucks. I was sold and souldnt of been more excited they were close to us. So I called and the owner had turned down everyone before me this guy was looking for a home for 2 months (girl was heading to university couldnt give the time she needed to MJ)

I dont know what came over me but I knew I had to have this bun. I picked up my son told him about MJ he was excited. Told me he would help me take care of him and love him and play with him. Well the hard part would be convincing the hubby on such short notice. My son told his daddy it was time for a family meeting and explained to his daddy all about MJ we showed pictures etc and that night we have a furry little bundle being delivered to us.

He is probley one of the best bunnis we have ever had. He is soooooo mellow and lets you hold him and cut his nails doesnt fuss or fight you nothing. Perfect little addition to our house.

Only sad thing was when I was cutting his nails we gave him a week before I did I was checking them all and then I felt this hard thing stretching almost the length of my pinky finger…..IT WAS ONE OF HIS NAILS!!!! I was pissed. No wonder he wasn’t as active he was probley in pain. Once it was cut he was a ball of energy exploring and loving everyone

I even find hubby cuddling him once ina while lol
